This is a free workshop for clergy, lay leaders, families, and providers. There will be two sessions held on September 18th: a Breakfast Session for Clergy from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and a General Session for Lay leaders, Families and Providers from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Individuals with mental retardation are often extremely sad when they experience the loss of their loved ones; however, oftentimes, this grief goes unnoticed because they are not able to express themselves without help and understanding from those close to them. This workshop will provide attendees with greater insight into how those with mental retardation grieve and how we can best help them through the process of grieving the loss of a family member, friend or pet.
This workshop will be held at:
The Arc of Chester County
900 Lawrence Drive
West Chester, PA 19380
To RSVP, call Janice at 610-696-8090 or
Email her at jmiller@arcofchestercounty.org
When you register, please include your telephone number and let us know which of the two sessions you plan on attending.
The deadline for registration is September 15, 2008.
